Cavita Ruth Ebelt left this Earth to be with her Lord and Savior on June 26, 2018
Cavita was the only daughter with 2 older brothers born to Harrington & Blanche Smith April 3, 1934 in Houston Texas. Cavita was raised in rural Pasadena Texas and received her teaching degree from Texas Women's University in home economics. Cavita taught in Houston for many years touching the lives of many young students. Cavita loved life, her family, her church, travel and fishing. She was able to travel the world with her best friend and fishing partner Earl Ebelt. Together they both fell in love with beautiful Alaska and traveled there often. Cavita believed in having life goals, a plan to achieve them and enjoying your life along the way.
Cavita was proceeded in death by her parents, Harrington Smith and Blanche Farr
Her brother Jack Smith Jacks wife Carol and brother Bowman Smith. Grandsons Jason Vise and Clay Franks.
Cavita is survived by her beloved blended family, her 3 sons, Legrande Blount and wife Melanie from Seattle, Lannis Blount and wife Karen from Spring, Lane Blount and wife Janet from Cleveland, 2 step daughters Carylon Franks and husband Herrin from Deer Park, Ann Wood from Pasadena, Grand Children, Devin Blount and wife Erica from Pearland, Travis Blount from Homer, Tracy Blount from Atlanta, Joseph Blount from Spring, Clint Franks and wife Colleen from League City, Cliff Franks from Deer Park, Brandon Wood and wife Cheryl from Pasadena, Great Grand Children Hayden Blount, Landon Blount, Bradon Price, Breadon Franks, Ayla Franks, Clint Jr. Franks, Chloe Franks, Alexis Benastante, Dakota Wood.
Along with many other family members and dear friends.
In Lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Deer Park Methodist Church or your own church in her name.
A memorial service will take place at Addison Funeral Home, please check back for the date and time.
