Annie "Vera" Blumrich Frenza (97) passed away peacefully on June 4, 2018 surrounded by her Brookdale Cypress Station angels. She was born in Humble, Texas on April 10, 1921 to August and Viola Blumrich.
Vera was a devoted wife, a loving mother and grandmother. She was incredibly proud of her large family and considered this her greatest accomplishment in life. She enjoyed spending time with her family and feeding them wonderful meals including great desserts (ice cream)! She worked for Sakowitz as a Personal Shopper for many years and Aramco Saudi as a Data Entry clerk before retiring in 1986. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and baking her famous cakes for Rose's Deli.
Vera was preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years, Joe Frenza in October 1997. Her son, Joseph V. Frenza, in July 1982, parents August Blumrich and Viola Freed, and all of her siblings: Ethel Thompson, Orean Chetham, Grace Reichardt, Jake Blumrich, Walter Blumrich and Virginia Wilson.
She is survived by her daughters: Jo Ann Smith & husband Harlon of Lufkin, TX, Rose Scanlan & husband Tom of Spring, TX. Grandchildren: Ruth Smith & Michael, Jimmy Smith, Cindy Kerley & Doug, Jeff Frenza & LaSondra, Lisa Hartnup & Matt, Tommie Lynn Jolly & Rimmo, Larry Day and Jason Scanlan. Great Grandchildren: Michelle Bogner & Matt, Joey Birkelbach & Olivia, Mark Birkelbach & Lacey, Aaron Smith, Chris Smith & Julianna, Tyler Smith, Jacob Frenza, Kate Frenza, Geoffrey Hartnup, Andrew Hartnup, Simaran Jolly, Chetan Jolly, Kiran Jolly and Aahna Jolly. Great Great Grandchildren: Luke Bogner, Hannah Bogner, Peyton Birkelbach, and Parker Birkelbach. Sister-in-law: Ruth Frenza and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers for the funeral mass will be Joey Birkelbach, Mark Birkelbach, Geoffrey Hartnup, Andrew Hartnup, Jacob Frenza and Tyler Smith.
