On February 27th, at the age of 48, we sadly lost a loving husband, father, brother and friend, Howard Patrick Blanc Jr. Many of us knew Howard at different points in his life but there were some things that were always true, he was a simple man who lived his life with integrity and honor. He was often a quiet man of few words but when he spoke, it was with substance and purpose that would always garner respect and admiration.
He grew up in Galena Park with his parents Howard Patrick Blanc Sr. and Dorothy Mae Blanc and siblings Garland and Linda. As a child, he participated and excelled in many sports including baseball, football, basketball and riding his dirt bike. After high school, Howard married his high school sweetheart Tina and they spent 30 years together building a family with their children, son Tyler and daughter Evan.
Howard is an Army veteran of Desert Storm, where he earned several metals, including the Bronze Star within the 3rd Bn, 37th AR Regiment as a Dagger Brigade Armor Tank Commander. Howard always had a strong love of fishing, hunting and camping, and he could frequently be found on the water or around a campfire, beer in hand. When he wasn't enjoying the outdoors, he worked his way from a turbine mechanic all the way to the Vice President of a Heavy Haul & Lift Company.
With all of his achievements, he was quick to tell anyone that would listen that his proudest accomplishments in life, were his two children, Tyler and Evan, whom he is survived by.
He will be lovingly remembered by his newlywed wife Lisa Blanc, his children and his brother and sister in law Garland and Therese Bilnoski. He will forever and fondly be remembered and loved by many, including a son in law Robert, a daughter in law Kerry, grandsons Tyler Jr., and Jack, as well as several nieces and nephews, whom he loved deeply.
Special Instructions/Comments: The Addison family and staff at Addison Funeral Home extend their condolences to Howard's family and friends.
