Judy Ann Schwab, 78, died Friday, January 19, 2018, at the Hands to Lend Assisted Living Home. She was born November 28, 1939, in Victoria, Texas, the daughter of Charles Daniel Sitterle and Norine Evans Sitterle.
Judy graduated from Victoria Hight School in Victoria, Texas with the class of 1957. She began working for Southwestern Bell doing clerical work in 1959 and was united in marriage on July 9, 1960 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Victoria to Floyd Joseph Schwab, Jr. of Yoakum, Texas. In 1962, they moved to Austin, Texas, where Judy continued to work for Southwestern Bell and became pregnant with their first of 3 children. In 1965, they moved to Houston, Texas and Judy transferred her position with Southwestern Bell and stayed there until 1967 when she became a stay at home mom. She went back to work in 1977 and over the next thirty years worked as a junior coordinator at Diamond Bowl, a chiropractic assistant and insurance coordinator, and accounting/clerical work for UPS and Blue Ribbon. She retired in August 2006 and spent most of her time playing games, travelling including many Elvis cruises, and enjoying time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years Floyd J. Schwab, Jr. of Houston; three daughters, Christie Denise (Schwab) Walker and husband Kenneth of Spring, Cheryl Dawn (Schwab) Broadbent and husband Russell of Conroe, and Katherine Dionne (Schwab) Dolson and husband Alan of Spring; six grandchildren, Sydney Walker, Joshua Broadbent, Madeleine Dolson, Evan Broadbent, Rebecca Broadbent Kimmy, and Katelan Broadbent; 2 great grandchildren Cater Kimmy and Carmyn Kimmy; a brother, Mark Sitterle of Spicewood, Texas, and many nieces and nephews.
Her father, Charles Sitterle and her mother, Norine Evans Sitterle, preceded her in death.
