Rosa Anna Flores, lovingly known as Ana, passed away suddenly on December 18, 2017. Ana succumbed to a quiet, insidious disease: Bipolar Disorder. Ana battled valiantly against this physically transparent illness for many years. Bipolar Disorder is incurable and as deadly as cancer or heart disease. It is a disease of the mind and one's outlook at life itself.
Ana was a gentle Texas soul who we sadly did not get to spend enough time with...to enjoy her infectious laugh, her incredible knowledge of music, books, and movies, and mostly her constant loving and caring nature.
Ana was an expert in sign language, and utilized her skills to positively change hundreds of children's lives at the Texas School for the Deaf in Austin. She also was an animal lover who rescued many dogs over the years, none more special to her than her beloved Boxer Buster and her latest best friend Olive.
Ana loved all her family. She deeply cared for and loved her Aunt Esther, her sisters Jessica and Lilly, her brothers George and David, nephew Jackson, and cousin Albert. She will be missed by all of us each day, but we take comfort in knowing she is finally at peace.
In lieu of flowers, please send any donations to the animal rescue or humane society of your choice.
The Addison family and staff at Addison Funeral Home extend their condolences to the Flores family.
