Paul Crawford Carlin , Jr
January 25, 1928 - September 16, 2017



Paul C. Carlin Jr, age 89, passed away on September 16, 2017 in Spring, Texas. Paul was born in Goose Creek, Texas to Paul and Jonnie Carlin on January 25, 1928. He graduated from Milby High School at age 17 as Salutatorian of his class. Upon graduation he went to work for Humble Oil/Exxon Corp where he retired after over 40 years of service. He also served in the U.S. Army for 2 years as a young man spending time in Korea during WWII. Paul was a devoted Christian, husband and father. He and Norma were married for over 68 years. They had three children: David, Laura and Clint. Paul loved to sing and had a beautiful bass voice. He also loved sports of all kinds. He was loved by all who knew him.

Paul is survived by his wife Norma Heaton Carlin, his daughter and son-in-law Laura and Ken Higgins, his son and daughter-in-law Clint and Michele Carlin, as well as four grandchildren: Andrea Hay, Blake Higgins, Kate Carlin, and Nicholas Carlin. Paul is also survived by his two brothers and their wives, Don and Frances Carlin, Glenn and Phyllis Carlin, a sister, Donna McLain, cousins, numerous nieces and nephews.
