William "Bill" Dean Streitz
June 25, 1957 - July 4, 2017

William “Bill” Dean Streitz, passed away, unexpectedly, on July 4, 2017.

Bill was born June 25, 1957 in Pine Ridge, South Dakota. As the son of a Bureau of Indian Affairs father, Bill grew up in Pine Ridge, SD, Fort Yates, ND, Willoughby, OH, Sisseton, SD, Fort Duchesne, UT and Phoenix, AZ.

While in high school, he attended the Utah Boys State, was an honor student at Union High School in Roosevelt, UT, and played Intramural Basketball. After graduating high school, he received a Navy ROTC scholarship to attend the University of Utah.

He returned to Phoenix and worked in numerous retail positions, and landed at the Super 8 Motel in Goodyear, AZ. While working for Super 8, he met and married Linda Gregory on May 2, 2002. For the past decade he has worked for Mesa Airlines at Sky Harbor Airport in Phoenix, AZ eventually transferring to George Bush Airport in Houston, TX, as a Receiving Inspector.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents William and Rosemary Streitz and his older brother Dana William Streitz. He is survived by his wife Linda and their step-children as well as his brother Steven Streitz of Flint, TX and Barbara McCurdy of New Bern, NC. He leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, close friends and co-workers. His loss will be deeply felt by all of his friends and family.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
