Dean Eugene Miller
June 15, 1926 - June 15, 2017

Dean E. Miller, 91 years old, departed the land of the dying June 15, 2017 to celebrate his birthday in the land of the eternal living. He was born to Charles and Rosa Miller June 15, 1926 in Britt, Iowa. Dean was a decorated WWII veteran of two campaigns, receiving the bronze star, victory medal and was a distinguished member of General McArthur honor guard. After more than 7 years of military service he entered college to earn a bachelor’s of science and master’s degree to serve his community as an educator. He retired from Grand Lake School after 30 years as a science teacher and counselor. After living in various locations he retired to Conroe, Texas.
Dean was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers and 1 sister, first wife Louise Gentry Miller and wife Helen Jean Miller. Dean is survived by his brother Donald Miller, son Dean E. Miller Jr and wife Luanne of Spring, Texas, daughter Roxanne M. Manuel and husband Mitchell of Lake Charles, Louisiana, 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Family and friends will gather to honor the life of Dean 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at Galveston Memorial Park Cemetery in Hitchcock, Texas.

Special Instructions/Comments: The Addison family and staff extend our heartfelt condolences to the Miller family in their time of loss.
