Robin Marie Decker Woods passed away unexpectedly in her home at the age 44 on Thursday, May 25, 2017. She will be missed for her calm, comforting nature and sweet soul. She was born on June 19th to Paula and Howard Decker and was schooled in The Woodlands and graduated from McCullough High School. Subsequently, she earned an Associate’s Degree from San Jacinto College and a Bachelor’s degree at the University of Houston.
After years of hard work, she became a Labor and Delivery Nurse at Houston Northwest Hospital. Her joy, love, kindness and expertise were very valued. She sought a change and worked at Texas Children’s Hospital for 20 years. She then returned to her true passion as a Labor and Delivery nurse at Houston Northwest Hospital.
Robin was very positive, compassionate, patient, calm and caring with a big heart who loved to serve and help others and provide the best patient care possible. Because of all of these wonderful assets she easily made wonderful lifelong relationships with friends, co-workers and neighbors.
She is preceded in death by her stepmother, Phyllis Decker, affectionately known as “Mom” and is survived by her son, Tyler Woods, her first priority in love and life. In addition, she is survived by her stepson, Thomas Wood, father, Howard Decker, mother, Paula Oliver, sister, Leasa Hogge, niece, Ashley Hogge, nephew, Cody Hogge, stepbrother, Reno Goff, and his wife and nephews, Jacob, Vaughn and Reno Goff. This wonderful woman will be deeply missed by many people.
