Patrick was a wonderful uncle. When I was a child, I fondly remember our family trips to Evansville and looking forward to seeing Uncle Patrick due to his remarkable ability to make anything humorous. He was without question one of the wittiest people I have ever meet. Not only was he hilarious, but he was a very warm and inviting person, and such a pleasure to be around. I will miss my uncle Pat.

I met Pat on December 1, 1988, they day we swore into the Evansville, IN Police Department. I have liked him ever since. Although we went our separate ways over the years, we reconnected a couple of years ago, continuing our friendship. Pat was smart, witty, brave, and in his younger years maybe just a little crazy, but that's what we loved about him. Patrick John Kelly will be missed.
